Intro to Ami Paris x PUMA, AW2022.
For the second season of our collaboration with Ami, we continued our focus on refined tailoring clashing with sportwear, and found inspiration from vibrant workwear and outwear, vintage postcards and textures of the outdoors.

Colour and Materials by Michelle Riley

The colour and materials selection added depth to the collection as we incorporated technical, dimensional materials into the range. We had a newly developed heavy-weight wool that spoke beautifully to Ami, and new Cordura technical qualities that offered durability and water repellency. The textures that nodded to the outdoors and streetwear consist of a high-pile Polar Fleece and a thick-wale Corduroy, which added an element of fun to the technical elegance of the Outerwear.

The complete collection in hand-sketched form, by Michelle Riley, showing multiple outfit combinations. The outerwear continues to be the star; the Primaloft Puffer Jacket (pictured in Orchid and Faded Denim colours) has wide baffles, a thick-corded hood and an oversized, boxy fit to ensure maximum protection in extremely cold temperatures. The long Wool Coat (pictured in Light Sand, center) is a stand-out item with engraved buttons down the front, welt pockets, inside pockets and a tailored split at the center back bottom hem. The Varsity Green Cordura Jacket has corduroy detailing and off-white embroidered top-stitching to call out the bellows pockets and inside cord detailing, whilst the Polar Fleece Jacket is the ultimate comfort piece, containing a chest pocket in a matt ripstop with black Vislon zippers and branded, engraved Black Oxide trimmings. The Wool Pant compliments each outfit with a tailored waist and belt loops, whilst the Wide Leg Women’s Pant in a laminated cotton creates tailored volume with a comfortable encased elasticated waistband for all-day wear.
